Antar Ibn Shaddad is a historical Egyptian film shown on December 4, 1961, directed by Niazi Mustafa and starring Farid Shawqi and Coca. He loves his cousin Abla, so he gets lost in the desert when he goes to get a camel as a dowry for Abla, then he becomes one of King Al-Nu’man’s men. In the end, he becomes the hero of Banu Abs when he saves Abla.
the story of the movie
Shaddad, the emir of Bani Abs, gave birth to a son from his slave-girl Zubaydah, whom he named Antarah. Then he disowned him and included him among the slaves, and Shaddad and no one knew that this slave would become, with his heroism and chivalry, the protector of his people and an honorable master among his clan, he loves Abla, his cousin, and he saves the tribe and its daughters in the absence of men. Antara receives more gratitude from everyone, but his father remains His position is not recognized. This matter disturbs Antara, as he would like to become free in order to marry Abla. His Abyssinian mother assures him that he is the son of Shaddad. Shaddad’s wife tries to seduce Antara, but when Antara repels her, Shaddad’s chest penetrates him. Abu Abla seeks to marry her off to a prince from another tribe, in order to avert his disgrace. The prince sends men to confront Antara and defeats them. Abla’s father decides to marry his daughter to Antara in exchange for a large dowry in order to keep him away from the tribe, and to marry her to another man, he travels to Antara He goes to a far country, defends King Al-Nu’man, and returns after years to find Abla who is about to marry his old rival, so he duels him, defeats him and marries Abla.
